Ghajini is one of the biggest hits of Aamir’s career and he left no stone unturned in making himself ready to play the role of a person who forgets everything after 15 minutes. The movie was directed by A R Murugadoss and the beautiful actress Asin made her debut in Bollywood with this film.
While Aamir still gets praised for his performance, do you know that he was not the first choice for the role? Yes you read it right, A R Murugadoss wanted to sign some other actor for the remake of his Tamil movie.
Recently, actor Pradeep Rawat who played the character of villain in the movie gave an interview in which he revealed that A R Murugadoss was quite excited for making the movie in Hindi and he had Salman Khan in mind for this role.
However, Pradeep Rawat was of the opinion that Salman Khan is not ideal for this role, he said, “I thought in my mind ‘Salman is short-tempered and Murugdoss doesn’t speak in English or Hindi. He didn’t even have a personality back then.’”
Pradeep Rawat has worked with Aamir in quite a few movies because of which he knows Aamir quite well, he said, “I thought Aamir would be the right choice for the role because he was cool-tempered and behaves respectfully with everyone. In the past 25 years, I have not seen Aamir shout or yell at anyone. He has never disrespected anyone or used abusive language. So I thought, nature-wise, Salman cannot be handled or there would be unnecessary complications.”
As we know, Ghajini was a super-hit movie and now everyone feels that no one could have played the male lead better than Aamir Khan.
