An emotional video of Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan, recently went viral on Reddit and social media, sparking a wave of concern and empathy. In the now-deleted clip, Babil appeared overwhelmed and visibly in tears as he expressed his anguish about the treatment he has experienced in the film industry. With raw honesty, he declared, “Bollywood is so f***ed, Bollywood is so, so rude,” naming both insiders like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Arjun Kapoor, as well as fellow outsiders such as Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, and Adarsh Gourav in an attempt to explain his feelings of being alienated.

As the video gained traction, it caught the attention of actor Prateik Babbar, who resonated deeply with Babil’s emotional outpouring. In an interview, Prateik voiced his solidarity and compassion for the young actor. “Being Mr Irrfan Khan’s son is not easy to deal with. Irrfan Khan passed away at a very crucial age in his life. He was a teen. I related to it, and I have been having debates about it with a few of my friends. I said, look, whatever it is, if he is harming himself, then it’s wrong, but you have to put it in perspective. You have to understand what that boy has been through. I understand it more than anybody else.”

Having lost his own legendary father, Raj Babbar, at a young age, Prateik drew parallels between their experiences, emphasizing the unseen emotional weight of growing up under the shadow of revered icons. He added, “He lived a life with his father, and his father made it beyond anybody in this industry could make it. My heart goes out to him. I was crying for him yesterday. I was like I know what you are feeling. It’s not easy. I was a child to a legend who never existed for me. They were both legends. You have to take it with a pinch of salt. It comes with the territory. It comes with the profession, especially if you are born to famous parents. It is not easy, definitely. I feel for Babil. I wish him only well. I wish him all the love and healing. I know his father is looking out for him. His father is his guardian angel.”

The viral clip of Babil Khan saw him breaking down, repeatedly calling out the harshness and alienation he feels within the film industry. His words, though fragmented and impassioned, struck a chord with many viewers. “What I mean to say is that I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and Arijit Singh. There are so many more names. Bollywood is so f*****. Bollywood is so screwed.”

While the video has since been removed from his account, the emotions it captured continue to spark conversations about mental health, legacy, and the often harsh realities of fame. In offering his heartfelt support, Prateik Babbar has reminded the industry and audiences alike of the deeply human side behind the names, fame, and expectations.
