Now Adipurush Dialogue Writer Says, “We Have Not Made Ramayana”

The pan-India release Adipurush has minted a huge amount of money at the box-office as it has entered the Rs. 200 crore club in just 2 days of its release despite getting negative reviews and slamming on the social media networks. The movie stars Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and the makers are getting slammed for tampering the facts, characterization and dialogues in the movie.

However, the writer of the movie Manoj Munatshir has now made a statement which has surprised many. He has claimed that their movie is not based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, it is just inspired heavily from Ramayana.

This is what Manoj Munatshir stated, “The name of the film is Adipurush. Let me be clear about two things, we have not made Ramayana, we were only inspired by it. Even if you see our disclaimer, we were very clear about it. It would have been easy for us to name the film Ramayana, keeping in mind the marketing strategies. But we knew from the beginning that we are only heavily inspired by the Ramayana, but we are not making Ramayana. We just made a small chunk of the battle fought in the Ramayana.”

Do you think he is confused or do you feel that he is just making excuses after the movie received all the criticism and negative reviews? Let us know your opinion.
