Orry (Orhan Awatramani), a well-known social media personality and Bollywood figure, has landed in legal trouble after being booked, along with seven others, for violating local laws in Katra, Jammu division. Officials reported that Orry and his companions consumed alcohol in a hotel in Katra, despite explicit warnings that alcohol was strictly prohibited in the area. Given Katra’s significance as a sacred pilgrimage site for Mata Vaishno Devi devotees, this act has sparked a wave of controversy.
The group reportedly consumed alcohol inside the hotel’s Cottage Suite, ignoring the strict ban on alcohol and non-vegetarian food in the vicinity of the holy shrine. The incident, which occurred on March 15, led to the registration of an FIR (No. 72/25) at Katra Police Station. Those named in the case alongside Orry include Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Anastasila Arzamaskina.
Authorities confirmed that the Cottage Suite area of the hotel adheres to stringent guidelines prohibiting alcohol and non-vegetarian food due to its close proximity to the revered Vaishno Devi shrine. Speaking about the incident, a police official told Times Now, “A special team, under the supervision of SP Katra, Dy SP Katra, and SHO Katra, was formed to investigate the matter. Notices will be sent to all accused individuals, including Orry, instructing them to join the probe. SSP Reasi has reiterated that anyone violating the law, especially by indulging in activities like alcohol or drug consumption at religious sites, will be dealt with strictly.”
Orry gained widespread fame after frequently being spotted with Bollywood celebrities and star kids, attracting attention from paparazzi. His growing popularity even led to appearances on Bigg Boss 17 and a cameo in the Netflix show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives.
