According to sources, parasailing operations are scheduled to start at Govind Sagar Lake in the Himachal Pradesh district of Bilaspur. According to recent confirmation from officials, a renowned Delhi-based company presently operating in Tehri, Uttarakhand, has been invited to conduct trial operations for this exciting project.
Aabid Hussain Sadiq, the Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur, said the project has received all required permits. During the first week of December, the company will bring specialized parasailing boats to the lake to start the two-month testing phase.
A technical council of specialists will monitor the experiments to guarantee the operations’ viability and safety. The District Regulation Committee will assess the project to issue official permissions and create a systematic operational framework based on the trial’s outcomes.
If it is successful, parasailing will be a permanent fixture at Govind Sagar Lake, increasing its allure as one of Himachal Pradesh’s top water sports destinations.
Activities like shikara rides and cruises have drawn people to Govind Sagar Lake. The lake’s standing as a centre for water-based adventure tourism is expected to improve with the arrival of parasailing.
“In addition to providing tourists with an exciting experience, parasailing will generate jobs for locals and support the region’s economic development,” DC Sadiq stated. To establish Bilaspur as a hub for water tourism in North India, he also alluded to plans to increase the availability of water sports.
