Despite persistent pleas from fans, veteran actor Paresh Rawal is holding his ground regarding his decision to exit Hera Pheri 3. His departure from the much-anticipated third installment of the popular franchise was announced last month, but fans continue to campaign for his return, even calling him the “hero” of Hera Pheri.
Paresh Rawal, however, gracefully deflected such claims, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the film’s success. When a fan on X (formerly Twitter) urged him to reconsider, stating, “Sir please think Once again to join HERA FERI movie You are the hero of this movie,” Paresh Rawal responded with clarity: “NO … There are Three Heroes in Hera Pheri.” This subtle yet firm reply acknowledged the integral roles of his co-stars, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, while reiterating his stance.
With Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty confirmed to reprise their iconic roles, the question of who will step into Paresh Rawal’s shoes as Baburao remains unanswered.
Adding another layer to the unfolding saga, a legal dispute has emerged between Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films. The production house reportedly sued Paresh Rawal for ₹25 crore following his withdrawal from the film. Paresh Rawal swiftly responded legally, with his lawyer, Ameet Naik, sending a formal reply concerning his “rightful termination and exit”. Paresh Rawal expressed confidence that “once his response is reviewed, all issues will be resolved”. Cape of Good Films had previously asserted that Paresh Rawal had received ₹11 lakh as a signing amount and had filmed the teaser with Akshay and Suniel Shetty, which was slated for imminent release.
