The Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra is currently on cloud nine as she is getting praised a lot for her acting performance in the recently released Amar Singh Chamkila which has been directed by Imtiaz Ali.
The movie is based on the life-story of Punjabi singer, Amar Singh Chamkila, the Punjabi-singer actor Diljit Dosanjh played the lead role and Parineeti Chopra played the role of Chamkila’s second wife, Amarjot.
Many people feel that Parineeti is not getting enough opportunities to showcase her talent and when Parineeti was asked about it, she talked about the camps in the movie industry but she made it clear that she is not talking about nepotism.
While talking to an entertainment portal, Parineeti said, “I feel that access to certain actors and access to certain directors leads to work opportunity, that’s what I definitely feel. And if I am not available in front of their eyes all the time, I will lose out on that work opportunity.”
She further added, “I am just saying that there are camps, there are circles, there are favourites. Two people who are similarly talented, who can bring the same thing to the table, one will be a favourite and one will be not and the one who will lose the work opportunity which is why I really urge that this becomes a meritocracy. So if I am able to bring that talent, if I am able to bring that same amount, then I must also get the opportunity and not lose it because I don’t have a relationship or I am not in your camp or I am not in your click.”
