Patralekhaa Declines Role In Stree 3, Praises Rajkummar’s Chemistry With Shraddha

Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, made a strong impression at the box office following its Independence Day 2024 release. The film garnered widespread appreciation, and the creators have already confirmed plans for a third installment. However, Patralekhaa, Rajkummar’s wife, has declined the chance to be part of Stree 3, citing her admiration for the on-screen chemistry between Rajkummar and Shraddha.

In a recent interview, Patralekhaa was asked if she would consider joining Stree 3 opposite her husband. She responded, “No, Shraddha is there; their pairing is amazing. Abhishek is there, Apar is there, Pankaj, that world is set.” Her remarks reflect her appreciation of the established cast and dynamics that have made the franchise a success.

The much-anticipated sequel Stree 2 continues the spooky events in the town of Chanderi. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande, the film features the return of fan-favorite characters played by Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi. Presented by Jio Studios, the franchise is known for blending humor and horror in a unique way, and audiences are eager to see what’s in store for Stree 3.

While Patralekhaa won’t be joining Stree 3, Patralekhaa has been busy with her own projects. She recently appeared in the web series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, where she portrayed air hostess Indrani. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the series, which premiered on August 29, has earned her praise for her performance. The show stars Vijay Varma, Dia Mirza, Naseeruddin Shah, Kumud Mishra, Pankaj Kapur, and others, and is based on the true events of the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC 814.
