Following their late-night victory over the Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2, which secured their spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final, Punjab Kings are prioritizing player recovery and mental preparation.

According to the team’s pace-bowling coach, James Hopes, the short turnaround time after the match, which concluded around 2 am, necessitates a focus on ensuring the players are fresh for the summit clash on Tuesday.

Hopes acknowledged the significance of the final, where they will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He also anticipates a strong crowd presence in support of the opposition, stating at the post-match press conference, “It’s just a short turnaround for us, we’ve finished at 2 am, which is pretty late, so tomorrow will be just about the guys recovering and getting mentally prepared for what I imagine is going to be a pretty big crowd and a pretty big pro Kohli crowd as well.”

The upcoming final presents a compelling narrative. Virat Kohli’s long quest for an IPL trophy with Bengaluru will be a central storyline, contrasting with Shreyas Iyer’s ambition to lead the Punjab Kings to their maiden IPL title.

Which team according to you will win IPL 2025 – RCB or PBKS?
