Pakistani cricketers will be in big trouble if they don’t improve now
The Pakistani cricket team is getting heavily slammed after they lost their second league match against India because they were going very strong in that match and their victory looked inevitable for the majority of time.
However, Indian bowling and fielding covered up for Indian batting and restricted Pakistan at the score of 113/7 and won the match by 6 runs.
While former Pak cricketers and fans left no stone in slamming the Pak cricketers, now the chief of Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi has also come down heavily on the Pak team and said that it seems a major surgery is required on the team.
In his words, “I thought the team required minor surgery to start winning matches but now it appears that we have to go for major surgery. It is very disappointing the way we lost to the USA and now this loss to India. We need to now start looking at players beyond those in the team right now.”
Mohsin Naqvi further said, “Why the team is not performing is something everyone is asking. The World Cup is still on. But obviously, we will sit down and take a look at everything.”
Now for entering the Super Eight, the Pakistan team will need to win their remaining two matches in a big manner and they also need to pray that USA loses their remaining two matches badly because the decision regarding which team, Pakistan or USA will play in the Super Eight, will depend on net run rate in this scenario.
