PM Modi to Inaugurate Development Projects Worth Over Rs 24,300 crore in Rajasthan’s Bikaner Today

On July 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Bikaner, Rajasthan, to lay the cornerstones for a number of construction projects and deliver a speech to the general populace. Around 4:15 p.m., he will arrive in Bikaner, where he will dedicate and lay the cornerstone for construction projects costing more than Rs 24,300 crore that are meant to improve the infrastructure and welfare of the city.

The Amritsar-Jammagar Economic Corridor’s six-lane greenfield motorway stretch will be dedicated to the nation by the prime minister. This segment of road in Rajasthan, which stretches over 500 kilometres from the villages of Jakhdawali in the Hanumangarh district and Khetlawas in the Jalore district, cost over Rs 11,125 crore to build. With the construction of this motorway, communication between major cities and commercial corridors would be greatly improved. Along with facilitating efficient freight movement, the motorway will boost regional tourism and economic growth. Phase I of the Green Energy Corridor’s Interstate Transmission Line

He will dedicate phase-I of the Inter-State Transmission Line for Green Energy Corridor, which is valued about Rs 10,950 Crore, to the country, boosting the region’s power sector.  The green energy corridor will combine around 6 GW of renewable energy, assist in balancing the grid between thermal and hydro generation in the northern region and renewable energy with thermal generation in the western region, consequently enhancing transmission capacity between the northern and western regions.

Additionally, PM Modi will dedicate the Bhiwadi Transmission Line near Bikaner. The Bikaner to Bhiwadi Transmission Line, which will be built by Power Grid at an estimated cost of Rs 1,340 crores, will aid in the evacuation of 8.1 GW of solar power generated in Rajasthan.

A brand-new Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital with 30 beds will be dedicated by the prime minister in Bikaner. The hospital will be able to expand its capacity to 100 beds. This hospital will act as a crucial healthcare institution, meeting the medical requirements of the neighbourhood and assuring readily available, high-quality healthcare.

Station renovation at Bikaner Railway

He will also formally lay the groundwork for the renovation of the Bikaner Railway station. The reconstruction project, which is estimated to cost roughly Rs. 450 crores, would comprise updating the flooring, ceiling, and all platforms while preserving the historical significance of the station’s current design.

The Prime Minister will also lay the cornerstone for doubling the 43 km-long Churu-Ratangarh stretch.  By doubling this train line, the Bikaner region would be better connected to the rest of the nation and gypsum, limestone, food grains and fertiliser goods will be transported there more easily.
