Poonch Showdown: Security Forces Eliminate 4 Terrorists in Intense Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir

Security forces killed four terrorists in a joint operation early on Tuesday morning in Poonch’s Sindhara neighbourhood, and Indian Army sources. They claimed that the initial encounter happened late on Monday night, following which drones and other night-time surveillance tools were put in place. The incident restarted with a strong exchange of fire between security personnel and terrorists on Tuesday morning, the army authorities claimed.

They said that they had taken materials and three grenades from the bunker.

The Army and the special operations group were conducting a search operation in the Kala Jhula jungle. Poonch town’s security was stepped up, and as part of the search operation, vehicles operating on the roadways were inspected. Two terrorists were killed on Monday after forces thwarted an attempt to cross the Line of Control near Poonch.

In an encounter with security personnel in Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir, four terrorists were killed. Drones and other night-time monitoring tools were deployed following the initial security forces engagement on Monday, according to Indian Army sources, which occurred at 11.30 p.m. The battle began once more at dawn today with a significant exchange of gunfire between security personnel and militants, they reported.

In the Sindhara neighbourhood of Poonch, the Rashtriya Rifles, the Jammu and Kashmir police, and the Special Forces of the Indian Army all participated in the operation.

Along with other forces, the operation included members of the Rashtriya Rifles, J&K Police, and Special Forces of the Indian Army. The identification of the terrorists slain in the operation, who are very certainly foreign terrorists, is being established, according to the officials.
