After Bawri aka Monika Bhadoriya, Priya Ahuja who played Rita Reporter in TMKOC talked about mental harassment on the sets, says “Mujhe makkhi ki tarah Nikal ke phek diya…”
One more actress of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has now talked about the allegations of sexual harassment leveled by Jenifer Mistry Bansiwal against the producer Asit Kumarr Modi, project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj.
After Monika Bhadoriya (Bawri), now Priya Ahuja who used to play Rita Reporter has given her opinion in this regard and she has supported Jenifer by saying that actors of TMKOC have to go through mental harassment. Priya states that she has no idea regarding the sexual harassment allegations but she agrees with Jenifer that sets of TMKOC are 100 percent male chauvinist.
She also expresses surprise over what Mandar Chandwarkar (Atmaram Bhide) has said as he is a good friend of Jenifer Mistry. In response to Jenifer’s claim that TMKOC set is a male chauvinist place, Mandar says that it is not true as the set of TMKOC is a happy place to be.
Talking about her own ordeal, Priya Ahuja who is married to the former director of TMKOC Malav Rajda said that after her marriage with Malav, her track was reduced considerably. Priya also reveals how Asit Modi and the team’s behaviour got changed after her wedding.
She says that she messaged Asit Modi to question about her track but there was no response from his side. She even contacted Sohil Ramani for getting a clear answer regarding her role but no use. After Malav left the show, she was left with no clue in regard to the track of her character in TMKOC. Priya said, “Mujhe aap ne 9 months se show par nahi bulaya because your relationship with Malav ended and aapne uske baad mujhe makkhi ki tarah Nikal ke phek diya…”
Priya stated that she messaged the makers and asked about her track but she never got the reply and she felt insulted as no response was being given to her despite working for 14 years on the show. In fact, even worse was that she was told what the need for her to work was when Malav was earning.
Priya and her husband Malav have also refused to believe that Jennifer can be abusive or ill-behaved; on the contrary, Priya called her sweet and spiritual.
