Priyanka Chopra Did Not Want To Become An Actress, This Is How Her Life Changed

The beautiful actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the Desi girl who has established herself as an international star is celebrating her 42nd birthday today and fans from all over the world are wishing her on social media networks.

Though Priyanka is one of the biggest and most popular stars of all times, there was a time when she didn’t want to become an actress. Yes, you read that right! Priyanka wished to become an aeronautical engineer and eventually work in NASA but things took a turn when her brother Siddharth Chopra enrolled her in the Miss India Pageant.

In an old interview, Priyanka Chopra stated, “Being crowned Miss India and then Miss World, suddenly I went on from becoming an aeronautical engineer, carefree teenager to standing on a world stage, where I have to have a point of view on probably the most important world events.”

After she won the Miss World title, she was offered a Tamil movie, Thamizhan but she didn’t want to do the movie. Her mother Madhu Chopra said in an interview, “Priyanka didn’t want to star in films. When I told Priyanka about the offer, she was in tears, she said, ‘I am not doing films’.”

However, Priyanka accepted the offer after her mother convinced her, Madhu Chopra stated in that interview, “Despite not knowing the language, she enjoyed it. The team helped her and treated her with a lot of respect. She would practice with the choreographer from morning to evening.”

Priyanka made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy and since then, she has never looked back.

Happy Birthday PeeCee!
