The beautiful international actress, Priyanka Chopra, a vocal advocate against nepotism in Bollywood, recently commended Hrithik Roshan and his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, for fostering inclusivity within the industry. In the newly released Netflix India docuseries, The Roshans, Priyanka lauded the family for their efforts in creating opportunities for individuals who lack connections within the film fraternity.
“They make their table longer,” Priyanka noted, referring to the Roshans’ willingness to embrace talent from outside the industry. “They pull in people like me, who didn’t grow up in the industry, and create opportunities. It’s not just about their own benefit but about extending those benefits to others. I really admire that their table doesn’t stay small.”
Her admiration for the Roshans stems from her personal experiences working with them on several high-profile projects. Priyanka starred opposite Hrithik Roshan in the popular Krrish superhero series, playing the love interest of his titular character in Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). Both films were directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan under the banner of Filmkraft Productions. Additionally, she co-starred with Hrithik in the 2012 revenge drama Agneepath, which was directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Dharma Productions.
Through her words and career collaborations, Priyanka has highlighted how the Roshans have set an example by broadening opportunities and creating a more inclusive space within Bollywood.
