Pushpa 2 Premiere: Female Fan Lost Life In Stampede & Her Son Is Critically Injured

A tragic incident marred the much-anticipated premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad on Wednesday night, resulting in the death of a woman and critically injuring her young son

The stampede occurred at Sandhya Theatre, RTC Crossroads, during an appearance by actor Allu Arjun to greet fans.

Revathi (39), a resident of Dilsukhnagar, attended the screening with her husband Bhaskar and their two children. As the family exited the theatre around 10:30 PM, chaos erupted when fans surged forward in an attempt to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun. The crowd’s push created a stampede, endangering those leaving the premises.

Police officers and bystanders promptly administered CPR to Revathi and her son. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. While her son was later transferred to a super-specialty hospital due to his critical condition, Revathi succumbed to her injuries. Her body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the factors leading to the stampede and assess crowd management measures at the event. The devastating loss has cast a shadow over the premiere, raising concerns about the safety protocols at such large-scale gatherings.

This tragedy highlights the importance of ensuring safety measures during highly anticipated events that attract large crowds.
