Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized that there would be no compromise on law and order in the state, addressing representatives of the Telugu film industry. The meeting was held following the recent stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. The incident tragically claimed the life of a woman on December 4.
The gathering took place at the ICCC building in Hyderabad and included prominent figures from the Telugu film industry, such as producers Suresh Baby, KL Narayana, Damodhar, BVSN Prasad, Chinna Babu, and Sudhakar Reddy, as well as directors Kortala Siva, Anil Ravipudi, K Raghavendra Rao, Prashanth Varma, and actors Nagarjuna, Shiva Balaji, and Venkatesh. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister for Roads and Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy were also in attendance.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister assured the industry of the government’s support while urging its members to act responsibly in light of the stampede incident. He stressed the importance of prioritizing public safety during such events.
Meanwhile, ruling Congress MLA R Bhoopathi Reddy issued a stern warning to Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun, cautioning the actor against making any remarks critical of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The MLA accused Allu Arjun, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, of not contributing significantly to Telangana and suggested he be mindful of his comments about the state’s leadership. He further warned that the actor’s films might face restrictions in Telangana if such criticisms continued.
