Kareena Kapoor Khan is launching Quench Botanics, a luxury Korean skincare line, alongside Sugar Cosmetics founders Vineeta Singh and Kaushik Mukherjee. Khan will co-own and invest in Quench, becoming the latest actress to enter the skincare sector. Velvet, Sugar’s parent firm, launched this joint venture, although Khan’s participation and ownership specifics are unknown.
Singh and Mukherjee started Quench Botanics a year ago to deliver inexpensive Korean skincare to India. All products will be Korean-made. Quench has over 90 products at 1,000 touchpoints and wants to expand. The organization wants Rs 100 Crores in net revenue in 12 months.
Vineeta Singh, co-founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics, told CNBC-TV18, “Korean skincare has garnered attention on social media, but products are pricey and not always made for Indian weather and skincare needs. We learned a lot by piloting several of these items for 18 months. Kareena appreciated our items when we sent them to her. We’ve been increasing the range and distribution while working on this JV with her for months.”
Singh said the products are priced between Rs 400 and 600 for affordability.
Kareena Kapoor Khan said she believed in the brand’s goal and will make simple, natural beauty and skincare items.
“I support their brand vision and commitment to simple, natural ingredient-led products. It completely captures my beauty and skincare ideals. I believe our differentiated product offering will offer affordable, simple skincare treatments for diverse Indian skin issues and climatic circumstances. Khan said he was thrilled to work with the team to make Quench a beloved Indian brand.
Khan’s skincare experience will inform the company’s strategic decisions as a co-owner. Her capacity to inspire and teach Indians about skincare is also valuable.
Vineeta said, “Our strengths include our distribution network, our established content factory, and the production facilities we have set up in Korea.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan, known for her brilliance, versatility, style, and attractiveness on and off screen, invests in Quench Botanics to pursue her entrepreneurial goals. Kareena, known for establishing trends throughout her career, will work with Quench Botanics to create a holistic beauty brand that meets Indian consumers’ needs across channels.
