How to share live Google Maps locations?

To use Google Maps, tap the profile symbol in the top right corner.
Choose 'Location Sharing' 
Tap 'Share Location' to set the sharing length and generate a shareable link.
To cease sharing, tap 'Sharing via link' and 'cease.'

Flexible off-app sharing

Google Maps lets users share their position within the app and in communication apps. You must mention that the app works even with ‘Location History’ deactivated.


Three important points:

The new function is not available for Indian Google Maps users under 13.
Domain accounts from Google Workspace are not supported.
This function is unavailable on Google Maps Go.
