Fans eagerly awaiting Andaz Apna Apna 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 1994 cult classic that originally starred Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, finally have an update directly from Aamir himself. While rumors of a reunion have fueled excitement for years, Aamir has now clarified the current status of the project, indicating it’s far from a confirmed go.
In a recent interview, Aamir revealed that director Rajkumar Santoshi is indeed developing a script for Andaz Apna Apna 2. However, he stressed that the project is still in its very nascent stages. The actor firmly stated that both he and Salman would only commit to the film once they are completely satisfied with the storyline.
“I really believe that scripts have to come out organically,” Aamir Khan explained. “So Raj Santoshi is working on a version of Andaz Apna Apna 2, but it’s too early for me to say that it’s being made, because until the script is ready and both Salman and I don’t love what he narrates and we say yes — until then, the film actually won’t be greenlit.” He concluded with a hopeful note, “So right now, it’s in very early stages. But let’s all hope that he comes up with a good script. We’re all hoping.”
Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
