Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest film, Chhaava, continues to shine at the box office, garnering impressive numbers and widespread acclaim. The historical drama, which hit theatres just a few days ago, has already set a benchmark by collecting ₹33 crore on its opening day, making it the biggest Hindi opener of 2025 so far. As per the reports, the movie has earned more than Rs. 100 crores in its first weekend.
Among the many admirers of the film is actor Rajkummar Rao, who recently watched Chhaava and couldn’t stop praising Vicky Kaushal’s performance. Taking to Instagram, Rajkummar shared his thoughts and showered love on the film’s cast and crew. Posting the film’s poster on his Instagram stories, he wrote, “#Chhaava is brilliant! @vickykaushal09 you deserve all this love, bhai, and much more.” His appreciation extended beyond the lead star, as he lauded director Laxman Utekar with the words, “@Laxman_Utekar sir, take a bow.”
Rao also applauded the performances of Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Ashutosh Rana, acknowledging their contributions to the film. In addition, he hailed music maestro AR Rahman as a ‘legend’ and commended producer Dinesh Vijan, saying, “More power to you.”
Vicky Kaushal, humbled by Rajkummar’s words, was quick to respond. Reposting the story, he wrote, “Thank you so much, bhai!” followed by a heart emoji, expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming appreciation.
