Veteran Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has voiced his strong disapproval of Ranveer Allahbadia’s recent controversial remarks on India’s Got Latent. In a video statement, Yadav did not mince words as he expressed his disappointment, stating that he felt “ashamed” of Allahbadia’s comments.
The actor criticized the s*xual nature of the remarks, calling them “embarrassing” and accused the younger generation of resorting to unethical means for fleeting fame. Yadav lamented the state of digital content and said, “It’s too embarrassing to watch such videos. Our country is a country of culture. I feel ashamed when I watch such videos. What is happening in the process of getting this cheap popularity for our younger generation?”
Continuing his statement, Yadav drew a striking analogy, likening such behavior to a peacock’s joy turning into sorrow. “I have always felt proud to be an artist. But it is said that when a peacock is very happy, he dances alone in the jungle with his wings spread out, but when he looks at his feet, he cries. Watching such people gives us the same feeling.”
Stressing the importance of responsibility and artistic integrity, Yadav urged people to respect the arts and avoid turning it into a mockery. “Counseling is very important so that art does not become a mere toy that people begin to despise. Respect yourself, respect your parents, respect every society, respect the whole country, and respect the whole world.”
The controversy erupted when Ranveer Allahbadia, widely recognized as BeerBiceps, allegedly posed an inappropriate question to a contestant on India’s Got Latent. Reports suggest that he not only made an indecent proposal for Rs 2 crore but also asked a contestant an outrageous and offensive question: “Would you watch your parents have s*x every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?”
The backlash against Allahbadia has been swift, with many condemning his remarks as distasteful and unacceptable. As the controversy continues to unfold, Rajpal Yadav’s statement stands as a stark reminder of the ethical responsibilities that come with public influence and digital content creation.
