Ram Charan’s latest film, Game Changer, produced by Dil Raju, has faced a tough run at the box office. Released on January 10, the film has so far earned only ₹127 crore, despite being made on a massive budget of ₹450 crore. In light of these losses, reports suggest that the Telugu superstar has decided to take a pay cut for his next collaboration with Dil Raju.
According to a leading publication, Ram Charan has committed to working with the producer on another film to help recover the losses from Game Changer. While the actor is currently busy filming director Buchi Babu Sana’s RC 16 alongside Janhvi Kapoor, he plans to begin working on Dil Raju’s project after completing his existing commitments. It has also been reported that Ram Charan has agreed to take a reduced remuneration for the upcoming film, although specific details regarding the pay cut remain undisclosed.
Game Changer, which stars Ram Charan alongside Kiara Advani, Anjali, and SJ Suryah, had a promising opening, earning ₹51 crore net on its first day. However, its performance declined steadily, affected by piracy issues and competition from other releases such as Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj and Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Despite its release during the festive season, the film failed to capitalize on the holiday box office boost.
Ram Charan’s decision to take a pay cut highlights his commitment to his partnerships and his efforts to navigate the setbacks faced by Game Changer. Fans will be watching closely as he continues his work on upcoming projects.
