Ram Kapoor recently shared his thoughts on Rakhi Sawant’s journey in the Hindi film industry, highlighting how she has built a name for herself without any support or connections. Ram, who got to know Rakhi while hosting her reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar in 2009, reflected on her resilience and achievements despite the challenges she faced.
The show, which aired from June 29 to August 2, 2009, concluded with Rakhi getting engaged to Elesh Parujanwala, a contestant from Toronto, Canada. However, the engagement ended a few months later.
In a recent interview, Ram acknowledged that while he doesn’t always agree with Rakhi’s views or behavior, he admires her determination and independence. He praised her for carving out a place for herself in the industry, noting that she lives in a three-bedroom, sea-facing apartment in Mumbai that she owns. According to Ram, this is a testament to her hard work and perseverance.
He went on to describe Rakhi’s journey as one of overcoming adversity. Despite being seen as just a dancer by some in the industry, and facing numerous difficult and unpleasant experiences, she managed to rise above it all without the backing of a godfather.
