Earlier this month, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions created excitement with a mysterious post about Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, sparking fan speculation about a sequel. However, instead of a sequel, the beloved Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer is set to return to theatres on January 3, 2025, following the trend of re-releasing iconic films.
PVR INOX will bring the film back to the big screen, showing it across 140 cinemas in 46 cities. This follows the successful re-release of Kal Ho Naa Ho by Dharma Productions. Several iconic films like Tumbbad, Veer-Zaara, and Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein have also been re-released this year, allowing audiences to relive their magic in theatres.
Producer Karan Johar shared his excitement, saying, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani holds a special place in the heart of Dharma Productions. With its fantastic music, beautiful locations, beloved actors, and a timeless story, it’s the perfect film to kick off the new year. It leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling about life. We’re eager to see how Gen Z experiences it as adults and how millennials enjoy singing along and quoting the dialogues on the big screen.”
Will you go to the hall to watch this movie again?
