Randeep Hooda talks about his preparation for the role of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the independence warrior, in the film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The actor showcased his dramatic physique makeover on Instagram on Monday by sharing a shirtless photo, prompting followers to draw comparisons between him and Christian Bale.
The physical transformation of Randeep
Randeep shared a mirror photo on his Instagram account, in which the actor appeared eerily emaciated. He’s got on an enormous pair of shorts. All he put in the caption was “KAALA PAANI.” That might imply that the performer changed to fit the parts of the movie that centred on the cell (Kaala Paani).
Reactions from fans
One fan commented on the post, calling it “Our own Christian Bale!” This was an allusion to the change of the Hollywood actor for the role of The Machinist. Christian is renowned for going above and above to physically prepare for a part. Another admirer said, “Wow, what dedication! Hats off!” “You did this for Sarabjit also hatts off to you for this huge respect,” someone else commented. This was a reference to Randeep’s part in the 2016 movie Sarbjit, when he had to drastically reduce his weight in order to play the character who is about to be imprisoned.
Previously, Randeep had posted photos of himself visiting Savarkar’s confined cell at Kalapani. He disclosed that he had sequestered himself in the detention cell in order to “experience what he must have gone through.” “I attempted to lock myself inside this cell during the research for his biopic in order to experience what he must have gone through. He captioned the photo, saying, “I couldn’t stay locked for even 20 minutes where he was locked for 11 years, frequently in solitary confinement.”
Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is a film directed and co-written by Randeep Hooda and Utkarsh Naithani. It is supported by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, Randeep Hooda Films, Legend Studios, and Avak Films.
