On Monday, popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia apologized for his controversial comments on India’s Got Latent comedy show.
“I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s got latent. I’m sorry,” Allahbadia posted on X.
“My comment wasn’t just inappropriate; it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you have asked if this is how I want to use my platform. This is not how I wish to use it,” Allahbadia, who owns the brand BeerBiceps, said in a video message.

“I am not here to give any context, justification or reasoning for whatever happened. I am just here for an apology. I had a lapse in judgment; it wasn’t cool. People of all ages watch the podcast. Don’t want to be the kind of person that takes that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I would ever disrespect,” the YouTuber added.
Ranveer Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, social media personality Apoorva Makhija, and the producers of the show “India’s Got Latent” have already been the subject of a legal complaint.
The controversy began after Allahbadia made “offensive” statements.
The accused made offensive remarks about women and laughed: Complainant
According to the complaint, the participants and organizers purposefully made offensive comments about women’s private areas to increase their online broadcast’s popularity and revenue.
The complainant characterizes the accused’s laughter and offensive comments about women in the broadcast, which was published on YouTube and aired worldwide, as a significant offence.
According to the Source, the letter further highlights that the remarks were made to profit from controversy, disregarding the damage to women’s dignity or the detrimental impact on young audiences, especially children who might have heard them.
