Ravi Kishan, the Bhojpuri superstar turned politician, is a very famous celebrity in north India, especially among people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and he is also known for speaking his heart out on various issues.
Recently, Ravi Kishan gave an interview in which he opened up on this troubled relationship with his father and he made a shocking claim that his father wanted to kill him. Ravi Kishan said that his father was a priest and he wanted his son to become a priest or a government servant too but not an artist.
Ravi Kishan said that his father got very angry when he saw Ravi performing in Ram Leela after which Ravi ran from the house at the age of 17 yrs with just Rs. 500 in his pocket. Ravi Kishan stated, “My father was beating me very badly and he was hammering me. He wanted to kill me and my mother was aware that her husband is capable of killing me and he will not hesitate because priests have less emotions. So she said ‘bhaag jao’.”
Ravi Kishan further added, “He was a priest and being a Brahmin, he always wanted me to do farming or become a priest or do some government job. He never thought an artist can be born in his family. So dancing or playing the role of Sita in Ramleela was a bit shocking for him. Woh maarte the aur maine zindagi ko seekha. So every beating from him was a lesson for me and he made Ravi Kishan.”
However, Ravi Kishan also said that his father was very proud of him after he succeeded as an actor and before dying, his father called him his pride.
Ravi Kishan is one of the most versatile actors of the industry and recently he was seen in the series Maamla Legal Hai and movie, Laapata Ladies.
