Ravindra Jadeja Shares Heartfelt Message With CSK Fans After Defeat Against RR

Chennai Super Kings’ all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja shared an emotional message for the fans of the franchise following their second consecutive defeat in IPL 2025. Despite starting the tournament on a high with a win against Mumbai Indians, CSK, under Ruturaj Gaikwad’s leadership, has since suffered back-to-back losses against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals.

As one of the most successful franchises in IPL history with five titles to their name, Chennai’s slow start has come as a surprise to many. Addressing the situation, Ravindra Jadeja took to Instagram to post a simple yet powerful message: “Things will change”.

Jadeja and MS Dhoni fought hard in the clash against Rajasthan, but the task proved too steep. With 39 runs needed off the last two overs, Chennai still had an outside chance. However, their hopes were crushed when Sandeep Sharma, with support from Shimron Hetmyer, dismissed Dhoni on the first legal delivery of the final over. Dhoni managed 16 off 11 balls, while Jadeja remained unbeaten on 32 off 22, but their efforts weren’t enough as CSK fell short by six runs.

Questions have been raised over Dhoni’s batting position, especially after he walked in at number nine during Chennai’s 50-run loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Chepauk. CSK head coach Stephen Fleming later clarified that Dhoni, dealing with a dodgy knee, carefully decides his batting position based on the match situation rather than playing extended innings.

On March 30, Dhoni came in at number seven with 54 runs needed from 25 deliveries but could not turn the tide, scoring 16 off 11. With two early setbacks, CSK will be eager to find their rhythm and reclaim their dominant form as the tournament progresses.
