JioHotstar is free with one of Reliance Jio’s prepaid recharge plans. JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar collaborated to create the new streaming service, which the business unveiled last week. In addition to hosting material from numerous worldwide studios and streaming platforms, it merges the content libraries of the two over-the-top (OTT) services. Jio members can now access material for free by choosing a specific prepaid recharge plan, even if users can still subscribe to monthly and annual subscriptions.
JioHotstar Prepaid Recharge Subscription
Reliance Jio’s Rs. 949 prepaid recharge plan now includes a 90-day ad-supported JioHotstar subscription. Benefits include unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS daily, and 2GB of fast 5G broadband daily. The plan is available for 84 days. The download speed is reduced to 64kbps once the daily data allotment has been used.
The prepaid recharge plan offers access to JioHotstar and a few other Jio apps, including JioCloud and JioTV. The monthly cost of JioHotstar’s ad-supported plan is Rs. 149. It provides 720p video streaming on a single mobile device. The most expensive JioHotstar Premium plan costs Rs 299 per month and Rs 1,499 per year.
Reliance Jio asserts that JioStar offers live sports coverage and about 300,000 hours of entertainment. It will offer a variety of genres and content forms in ten Indian languages. Viewers can watch live sporting events, documentaries, anime, movies, and television series on the streaming site.
The switch to the new platform will happen immediately for current JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar members. According to the firm, when these customers check in for the first time, they can set up their JioHotstar subscriptions. The platform’s new plans, which start at Rs. 149, are available for new users to explore.
