Remo D’Souza Reacts To The Cheating Case Filed Against Him, His Wife & His Dance Troupe

Remo D’Souza, a well-known choreographer, recently found himself at the center of controversy after reports emerged accusing him, his wife Lizelle D’Souza, and six others of cheating a dancer and his troupe out of Rs 11.96 crores. A case has been registered against them at the Mira Road police station, and the investigation is currently ongoing.

In response to the allegations, Remo D’Souza and his wife took to Instagram to issue a joint statement. The couple urged the public not to spread misinformation or make assumptions before the facts are fully understood. They emphasized their willingness to cooperate with the authorities and vowed to present their side of the story soon. They also expressed their gratitude towards friends, family, and fans for their unwavering support during this challenging time.

According to a PTI report, the case was filed by a 26-year-old dancer who claimed that Remo, Lizelle, and others involved had cheated him and his troupe. The complaint also includes names like Omprakash Shankar Chouhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a policeman, and Ramesh Gupta. The dancer alleged that after performing and winning a show with his troupe, the accused posed as the group’s owners and wrongfully claimed the prize money of Rs 11.96 crore.

The complaint further mentioned that the alleged cheating took place between 2018 and July 2024. Legal charges have been filed under sections 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating), and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code. The case was officially lodged on October 16 at the Mira Road police station, and investigations are currently in progress.
