Day 1 of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities saw international singing sensation Rihanna light up the stage with a special performance for the couple, with Gujarat’s Jamnagar gleaming brightly like a diamond.
Performing her iconic songs We Found Love, Work, Rude Boy, Bitch Better Have My Money, and Umbrella, among many others, Rihanna made her spectacular live debut in India. Her well-known and adored song Diamonds served as the show’s finale.
Renowned for her diverse voice and unique sense of style, Rihanna looked stunning in an outfit that had a bright pink halter neck catsuit layered over a sheer glittering neon green kurta-like shape. The sheer green had a front split that was thigh high and had very little ruffle.
The unique design created especially for Rihanna emphasized her fiery demeanor, which goes well with her explosive stage presence.
As she swayed to live music on stage, Rihanna looked comfortable in her full-sleeved contemporary outfit, making every beat count. In addition, Rihanna wore a cap, an oversized coat, and a veil around her waist for her on-stage ensembles. Rihanna’s modern desi style fit her like a glove and was enhanced by some exquisite jewellery.
Midway through her performance, Rihanna wished Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant well and expressed her gratitude to the Ambani family for having invited her to India. “Tonight, I’m here to honor Anant and Radhika.” I’m grateful to be here. Following the performance, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Nita and Mukesh Ambani, Akash and Shloka Ambani, and Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal joined Rihanna on stage. Before Rihanna left the stage, Nita Mukesh Ambani gave her a bouquet of flowers as a thank you.
