The England cricket team may lose the first test match of the 5-match series if they didn’t bat well in the second innings. By the end of the day 3, the England team has scored 316/6 and now they are leading by 126 runs.

Earlier in the first innings, England could manage only 246 runs in the first innings as the three Indian spinners took 8 wickets among themselves.

There is no denying the fact that Ravichandran Ashwin is the best Indian spinner at the moment and he is the one who is leading the spin attack in this test match. Though Ashwin has been a superb bowler yet his fielding was never great and on the day 3, there were two instances when the skipper Rohit Sharma was quite upset with his fielding.

During the 44th over, Ollie Pope played a shot towards mid-wicket on Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling and Ashwin ran after the ball but failed to stop it from crossing the boundary despite the fact that he dived for it.

The same thing happened in the 50th over when Pope once again played a shot towards mid-wicket on Jadeja’s bowling and once again Ashwin failed to stop the ball.

After Ashwin failed in stopping the boundary, the camera was focused on Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja and frustration was clearly visible on their faces.

Well, let’s just hope R Ashwin makes up for it with his bowling as he has already taken two wickets in the second innings of England.
