Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: Now Police Is Interrogating A West Bengal Woman

In the latest update regarding the Saif Ali Khan attack and robbery investigation, the Mumbai Police have traced a lead to a woman from West Bengal. This woman’s SIM card was reportedly used by the accused attacker, a Bangladeshi national named Shariful Islam. According to an official quoted by news agency PTI, the woman stated that she had lost her cellphone.

The attacker, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, was apprehended three days after the incident. He had broken into Saif Ali Khan’s apartment on the 12th floor of the Satguru Sharan building with the intention of committing a robbery. During a confrontation with the actor, Shariful stabbed him. He has since been taken into custody and will remain so until January 29.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Shariful had illegally entered India last year. While in the country, he used someone else’s SIM card to communicate. This led the Mumbai Police to visit the Nadia and Murshidabad districts of West Bengal, where they subsequently arrested him.

Further inquiries revealed that Shariful had used a woman’s SIM card to make calls to his family in Bangladesh. When questioned, the woman claimed that her mobile phone had been stolen. Police are now verifying the validity of her statement.

An official stated that the evidence strongly corroborates Shariful’s involvement in the attack. He was reportedly armed with a hacksaw blade and a knife at the time of the incident.

The investigation continues as police teams plan to visit other locations in West Bengal where Shariful stayed after entering India illegally.
