There are strong rumours that exhibitors are preferring Dunki to Salaar because of which the producers of Prabhas starrer Salaar have decided not to release their movie in PVR-Inox and Miraj theaters in some states.
The CEO of Miraj Theatres, Amit Sharma has tried to clear the controversy by saying that the decision regarding the number of shows allotted to a movie is taken by the exhibitors because they understand the preferences and choices of the audiences of that area.
Now, the CEO of PVR Pictures, Kamal Gianchandani has also reacted to this matter and he has also tried to put all the controversies to rest by tweeting, “Normally, we try to keep Producers related matters to ourselves. But this is one of those times for us to share our point of view. We have come across some absurd Internet posts regarding unfair showcasing practices at PVRINOX. No one has greater respect and appreciation for all the Producers releasing their films in our theatres than all of us at PVRINOX. Commercial disagreements is par for the course with big films releasing on the same date. Not the first time. Won’t be the last time. Everything will fall in place soon. Please put these ridiculous theories to bed (sic).”
