Salman Khan finds himself entangled in a renewed controversy related to the blackbuck poaching case. Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi recently issued a threat to Salman, demanding that the actor apologize for allegedly killing a blackbuck or face severe consequences. Bishnoi’s warning stems from his belief that Salman humiliated his community by allegedly hunting the endangered animal.

Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, strongly defended his son, denying the accusations. He stated that Salman has always been compassionate toward animals and was not even present during the poaching incident. Salim highlighted that Salman deeply cared for his own pets, recalling how he cried over the death of his dog. When asked about the blackbuck case, Salim said Salman had categorically denied any involvement, asserting that his son loves animals and has no interest in hunting them.

Salim Khan emphasized, “Woh mujhse jhooth nahi bolega. Usko nahi hain shaukh jaanwar maarne ka. Jaanwaro se mohabbat karta hai woh (He won’t lie to me. Salman doesn’t enjoy killing animals. He loves them).”Salim Khan also explained why an apology from Salman would be inappropriate. He argued that apologizing would imply guilt, a notion that Salim strongly refuted. According to him, Salman never harmed any animal and that their family does not condone violence against any living beings. Salim said, “Maafi maangna ye accept karna hai ki maine maara hai. Salman ne kabhi kisi jaanwar ko nahi maara. Humne kabhi kisi cockroach ko bhi nahi maara (Apologizing would mean admitting it. Salman never killed any animal. We have never even killed a cockroach).

Salim Khan further questioned the legitimacy of the accusations and investigations against Salman. He challenged the validity of the claims, pointing out that their family has never used a firearm. “Koi gunaah kiya hai? Aapne dekha hai? Aapko malum hai, jaanch padtaal ki hai? Humne toh kabhi bandook bhi use nahi ki (What crime has he committed? Have you seen him? Do you know the facts? We have never used a gun),” Salim remarked.

Salim Khan’s defense comes in the midst of heightened public attention and ongoing legal proceedings related to the blackbuck poaching case, which has continued to follow Salman Khan since 1998.
