Salman Khan is certainly one of the biggest superstars of the Indian movie industry and crossing Rs. 100 crore mark for his movies is not a big thing but the superstar feels that the 100 crore club is rock bottom now and the new benchmark should be Rs. 1000 crore club.
Recently, Salman Khan attended the trailer launch event of Punjabi movie, Maujaan Hi Maujaan which stars Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, Karamjit Anmol, Jimmy Sharma, etc. in important roles. During the event, a reporter asked Salman Khan, “Talking about the 100 crore club, you are the poster boy of that. How do you feel Punjabi films are also on that mark, on that journey?”
Salman Khan responded with, “I think the 100 crore mark is going to be the rock bottom now. Everything would be 4-5-600+now for the Punjabi industry, Hindi industry, every industry. Even Marathi films are doing these numbers. 100 crore is not going to be a very big deal. I think the benchmark should be 1000 crore for a film right now.”

Fans are eagerly waiting for Salman Khan’s next movie, Tiger 3 and reality show Bigg Boss 17 as well. However, as per some reports, Salman Khan won’t be available for all the episodes of Bigg Boss in this season due to his other professional commitments and the makers are looking for someone who can handle things in Salman’s absence.
Do you agree with Salman Khan that Rs. 1000 crore should be the new benchmark?
