Mumbai Police arrested one more person in the case related to the incident of shooting outside Salman Khan’s house, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.
The incident took place on 14 April, police acted promptly and arrested the two shooters within 24 hours from Bhuj, Gujarat. However, things became controversial after the fourth accused, Anuj Thappan committed suicide in the bathroom of lock-up. Anuj’s family members have alleged that police has murdered Anuj as they are under pressure and they are falsely accusing Anuj of supplying arms to the shooters.
The fifth accused has been arrested from Rajasthan and he has been identified as Mohammad Chaudhary. As per the reports, Mohammad Chaudhary has been accused of helping shooters in doing recce of the Galaxy Apartments and he also provided money to the shooters.
Mumbai Crime Branch issued a statement which read, “Chaudhary is being brought to Mumbai today where he will be produced in the court and a demand for custody will be made.”
This arrest will certainly unfold one more layer of the crime and it will help the police in nabbing the real masterminds.
