Bollywood actor Salman Khan has once again found himself at the center of a security threat. Two threatening messages were received on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police, demanding Rs 5 crore from the actor. The messages warned that if the ransom was not paid, Salman’s fate would be worse than that of NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered.
An investigation has been launched after the Worli Police Station registered an offence. According to sources, the threatening messages were sent between 12:30 pm and 1:45 pm on Thursday, and the number used to send the threats is reported to be from India. The messages were later deleted, adding complexity to the ongoing probe.
The WhatsApp sender demanded that Salman Khan pay Rs 5 crore to ensure his safety and end the enmity with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The message stated, “Don’t take it lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he will have to pay Rs 5 crore.” The sender also warned that Salman’s fate could be worse than Baba Siddique’s if the payment was not made.
The Mumbai Police have confirmed that an investigation has been initiated to trace the individual behind the threatening messages. Salman Khan has been receiving similar death threats for months, and his security has been heightened since the murder of Baba Siddique on October 12, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The murder of Baba Siddique involved three gunmen, with four arrests made so far, while other suspects remain at large. The Mumbai Police are also investigating the possible involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the Siddique murder case.
Earlier this year, in April, two men opened fire outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. Investigations revealed that the shooters were allegedly hired by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which had reportedly conspired to kill the actor.
The ongoing probe highlights a continued threat to Salman Khan’s life, with police working to uncover any further plans by the Bishnoi gang and ensure the actor’s safety.
