Salman Khan spent 6 months without work before a fake ad brought him success

In the film world, the equations of relationships change very fast. After the film Maine Pyar Kiya became a super hit, Salman Khan hoped that he would not have to wander much for work, but as we think, it does not always happen. For 6 months after the release of Maine Pyar Kiya, Salman Khan yearned for work. Then with the help of a fake advertisement and a godlike film maker, Salman Khan’s fortunes changed.

Salman Khan may be a celebrity of the Hindi cinema business today, but he, too, had a rough start to his career. He achieved stardom with the release of the film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya,’ but no one was willing to place a large wager on a new performer. For almost 6 months, the actor travelled about looking for job. When there was no hope left, a god-like producer appeared in his life. He and Salim Khan assisted Salman Khan.

During the IIFA Awards 2022, Salman Khan revealed the narrative of his struggle in cinema. The actor described how his father, Salim Khan, and film producer Ramesh Taurani assisted him at the time.

‘Following the release of Maine Pyar Kiya, Bhagya shree chose not to perform in films because she wanted to be married,’ Bhai jaan explained. “She took full responsibility and left. I hadn’t seen any movies in six months.”

Salman stated that his father, Salim, and filmmaker Ramesh Taurani assisted him. ‘And then Ramesh Taurani, a godlike man, came into my life,’ he says tearfully. At the time, my father paid GP Sippy Rs 2,000 to make a false announcement in a film industry journal stating he had signed me for a role. GP Sippy did so, but no picture was taken. But, Ramesh Taurani went to Sippy’s office and handed him Rs 5 lakh for the film’s soundtrack. I got a position on ‘Patthar Ke Phool’ because of those five lakh rupees. Thanks.’

Salman Khan made his feature film debut as a lead actor in ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ (1989). In 1988, he made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Biwi HoTo Aisi,’ which was released. He will next be seen in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,’ which is set to be released in April 2023, and ‘Tiger 3’, which will be released later this year. Salman, 57, is one of Bollywood’s wealthiest stars. He has property worth around 21 billion rupees. His brothers, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan, were also actors, although none were as successful as him.
