Son of Bollywood icon Mithun Chakraborty, Namashi Chakraborty, recently revealed a strange incident involving superstar Salman Khan. In an open discussion with Lehren Retro, Namashi related an experience he had with Salman Khan while filming his 2021 movie “Radhe.” The star reportedly made menacing comments to him, albeit in a lighthearted way.

Namashi recalled the story, saying that he had just finished shooting his own movie, “Bad Boy,” when he made the decision to meet Salman Khan at the “Radhe” sets in Mumbai. He proceeded to touch Salman’s feet as a sign of respect, but he received an unexpected reaction. “I went and touched his feet, and I can say this on camera, he said, ‘Fk off,'” Namashi disclosed. “I am as old as you are, don’t do this bullshit with me,” he replied, giving me a hug. I’m going to kick you off the set if you ever do this again, especially if Disha Patani is seated here.”

Namashi continued by emphasising the unspoken guideline to avoid touching Salman Khan’s feet, suggesting that Salman could have used the event as a humorous means of upholding this rule. Namashi appeared to handle the encounter amicably, despite his initial astonishment, demonstrating his respect for Salman Khan’s authority and prominence in the business.

Salman Khan was praised by Namashi’s brother Mimoh, who joined the discussion, calling him a “very perceptive man” with a thorough grasp of the film business. Salman’s stature in the Bollywood community is further cemented by Mimoh’s commendation of his awareness.

In addition, Namashi conveyed her appreciation to the industry heavyweights who have helped their family throughout the years. He listed celebrities who have supported them during good times and bad, including Jackie Shroff, Govinda, and Shah Rukh Khan. Mimoh also expressed gratitude to Salman Khan and Karan Johar for their constant support throughout difficult times, especially when Mimoh’s films had box office losses.

Even though his first movie, “Bad Boy,” didn’t perform well at the box office in 2023, Namashi isn’t letting it stop him from pursuing a prosperous Bollywood career. His next role under the direction of seasoned director Mahesh Bhatt is a testament to his tenacity and resolve to establish a name for himself in the business.

The open disclosure made by Namashi Chakraborty on his meeting with Salman Khan provides insight into the workings of Bollywood and the distinct customs that are followed there. Even though the episode was out of the ordinary, it highlights the respect and companionship that peers have, even in the middle of lighthearted humour and banter.
