After weeks of controversy surrounding his and Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks on India’s Got Latent, comedian Samay Raina has finally addressed the issue.
On Monday, he appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber Police in Navi Mumbai after being summoned as part of an ongoing investigation.
Speaking about the incident, Samay Raina expressed deep regret over his comments, admitting that they were made in the heat of the moment and were never intentional. In his statement, he admitted, “I feel deep regret for what I said. It happened in the flow of the show, and I had no intention of saying it.” Acknowledging his mistake, he further added, “I realise that what I said was wrong.”
His statement comes after weeks of public scrutiny, as the controversy surrounding his remarks gained traction. With the investigation still underway, Raina’s acknowledgment of his mistake marks a significant moment in the unfolding situation.
