Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently received a death threat, prompting a swift investigation by the Mumbai Police.
Reports indicate that the threatening call, made on November 5 at 8 PM, was traced to Raipur. The caller identified himself as ‘Hindustani’ and claimed he was calling from outside Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan residence. During the call, he demanded ₹50 lakh, threatening harm to the actor if his demand was not met.
Upon tracing the phone number used for the call, authorities discovered it was registered to a man from Raipur. However, the registered owner informed a news channel that he had lost his phone on November 2 and had immediately reported the incident to his local police station. “Someone misused my lost number to make this threat call. Mumbai Police recorded my statement when they visited me. I explained that I had reported my phone missing on November 2,” he said.
The Mumbai Police have registered a case against an unidentified individual at Bandra Police Station under relevant sections, including u/s 308(4) and 351(3)(4) BNS. No arrests have been made as of now, and the investigation remains ongoing.
