Shah Rukh Khan Reveals Why He Named His Youngest Son AbRam

Shah Rukh Khan, one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, shared the reason behind the name of his youngest son, AbRam, during an interview. While speaking on Rajat Sharma’s show Aap Ki Adalat, he explained that the name AbRam has roots in multiple religions.

“In Islam, Hazrat Ibrahim is referred to as Abraham in the Bible, and Abram in Judaism,” said Khan. He added that because his wife Gauri Khan is a Hindu and he is a Muslim, they wanted their children to feel a sense of secularism at home. Despite some controversy surrounding the name, Khan emphasized the importance of reflecting India’s cultural diversity within his family.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently focused on his next project, King. The film is reportedly set to star his daughter, Suhana Khan, and actor Abhay Verma. During the Locarno Film Festival, Khan provided more insight into the film, describing it as an action drama in Hindi. He expressed excitement about working on the film and said it was a project he had been considering for several years. Collaborating with director Sujoy Ghosh, Khan said they aimed to create a “cool, massy, action, emotional film”.

Are you excited for King?
