Shah Rukh Khan, known for his wit and charm, showcased his exceptional hosting skills at the 24th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Abu Dhabi, where he co-hosted with Vicky Kaushal. Besides keeping the audience entertained with his humor, SRK also took home the Best Actor award for his performance in the blockbuster Jawan.

During the event, SRK and Vicky engaged in light-hearted banter, with Shah Rukh humorously claiming that major film projects often come to him before being offered to other actors. Vicky seized the moment to ask Shah Rukh if Laal Singh Chaddha, the 2022 release starring Aamir Khan, was first offered to him. In a playful response, SRK quipped, “Even Aamir Khan shouldn’t have done that movie,” sparking laughter from the audience. He quickly added, “I love you, Aamir!” making it clear that his comment was all in good humor.

Laal Singh Chaddha, an adaptation of the classic Forrest Gump, had a challenging run at the box office, grossing only Rs 130 crore against its Rs 180 crore budget. Aamir Khan’s performance received mixed reviews, leading the actor to take a break from acting after the film’s release.

The conversation then shifted to the blockbuster film Pushpa: The Rise, directed by Sukumar. Vicky asked if Shah Rukh had passed on the chance to be part of the film. SRK’s candid response, “Oh my god, yaar! You’ve touched on something that still hurts. I really wanted to do Pushpa, but I couldn’t match Allu Arjun sir’s swag,” drew applause and cheers from the audience.

Allu Arjun’s portrayal in Pushpa earned him a National Film Award for Best Actor, and excitement is building for its sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, set to release on December 6. The sequel will also feature Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, promising another thrilling chapter in the franchise.
