Shah Rukh & Salman’s Co-Actor Atul Parchure Passed Away At The Age Of 57

The Marathi film industry is mourning the loss of actor Atul Parchure, who passed away at the age of 57. His cause of death has not been officially confirmed yet. Several Marathi news outlets, including Esakal and Lokmat, have reported the news, though Atul Parchure’s family has not released an official statement regarding his passing.

Atul Parchure had a remarkable career in Marathi cinema and theatre, and he was also known for his contributions to Bollywood. Some of his notable appearances include roles in films like Billu, Partner, and All The Best, and on The Kapil Sharma Show. His sudden death has left fans and colleagues in shock, especially since the actor was expected to feature in the Marathi play Suryachi Pillay, as shared by fellow actor Jaywant Wadkar. Wadkar mentioned that they were rehearsing together just five days before Atul was hospitalized.

Atul Parchure’s health had been a concern in the past year after he revealed he was battling cancer. In a 2023 interview, Parchure shared that doctors had discovered a 5 cm tumor in his liver, which was cancerous. He recalled feeling unwell while traveling and how a series of medical consultations eventually led to his cancer diagnosis. Although initially misdiagnosed, Atul Parchure faced additional complications after a medical procedure went wrong, affecting his pancreas and overall health. However, after switching doctors and undergoing chemotherapy, he had shown signs of improvement.

Atul Parchure’s battle with cancer and his enduring spirit left an indelible mark on his fans and the industry. His contributions to both Marathi and Bollywood cinema will be remembered, and his passing marks the end of a significant chapter in the regional entertainment landscape.
