Atul Parchure had a remarkable career in Marathi cinema and theatre, and he was also known for his contributions to Bollywood. Some of his notable appearances include roles in films like Billu, Partner, and All The Best, and on The Kapil Sharma Show. His sudden death has left fans and colleagues in shock, especially since the actor was expected to feature in the Marathi play Suryachi Pillay, as shared by fellow actor Jaywant Wadkar. Wadkar mentioned that they were rehearsing together just five days before Atul was hospitalized.

In a 2023 interview, Parchure shared that doctors had discovered a 5 cm tumor in his liver, which was cancerous.
