Shah Rukh Wanted A Starbucks Outlet Inside Red Chillies Office, Reveals Starbucks CEO

Shah Rukh Khan’s love for coffee is no secret, especially given his habit of late-night work sessions. Recently, Tata Starbucks CEO Sushant Dash revealed an interesting story about how the Starbucks outlet in Khar, situated inside the Red Chillies Entertainment office, came to life largely due to SRK’s passion for the brand. Located on 15th Road, this Starbucks has become a hotspot in the busy Bandra-Khar area.

During a podcast with Raj Shamani, Sushant shared how the outlet was established. “He is a big fan, that’s what I have heard. He wanted a store at the building, where he had that space. It’s a beautiful store and that’s his place, he is the landlord,” Dash said. He added that someone from SRK’s office approached Starbucks to express the actor’s keen interest in having a store at the location, which eventually materialized into a lovely space.

Shah Rukh Khan’s colleagues and co-stars have often commented on his deep love for coffee. Filmmaker Aanand L Rai once humorously remarked that SRK could survive on just tandoori chicken and coffee. Several actors, including Tamannaah Bhatia, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya (Jawan), and Alia Bhatt, have also spoken about his coffee habit.

Alia Bhatt, who worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Dear Zindagi, shared a humorous story that highlights both his coffee obsession and his tendency to eat very little on set. While filming emotionally intense scenes, she once heard his stomach growl during a long take. “We used to have heavy scenes and long takes and lots of dialogues… Suddenly in between, I could hear a growl, and I could sense that it was coming from his (SRK’s) stomach,” she said, adding that the crew would offer him biscuits. She joked that although she drinks coffee too, she makes sure to eat, unlike SRK, who she wished would take better care of his diet.
