The results of Lok Sabha elections 2024 have been a little disappointing for the ruling BJP especially in Uttar Pradesh and what has hurt many people is the fact that BJP even lost the election in Ayodhya despite the fact that the inauguration of Ram Mandir took place under this government.
The citizens of Ayodhya are getting slammed heavily for not supporting BJP and recently the actor Sunil Lahiri who played the character of Lakshman in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan took to Instagram and shared a post in which he trolled citizens of Ayodhya and accused them of betraying their king.
He shared a post in Hindi which loosely translates to: “We are forgetting that these are the same Ayodhya citizens who doubted Goddess Sita after she returned from exile. What do you call the person who even denies the God? Selfish. History stands proof that the citizens of Ayodhya always betrayed their king. Shame on them.”
In another post, Sunil Lahiri said that people will never respect the citizens of Ayodhya again.
What is your take on this matter?
