Reports indicate that Deepika Padukone has reportedly withdrawn from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, Spirit. This decision is attributed to the production team’s alleged refusal to accommodate her request for an 8-hour workday.
Furthermore, some sources suggest that Deepika, who recently embraced motherhood, also sought a remuneration exceeding Rs 20 crore, which the filmmakers were reportedly unable to meet.
In light of these developments, actress Neha Dhupia has voiced her support for Deepika Padukone. Dhupia emphasized the challenges faced by working mothers in the film industry and advocated for Deepika’s demand for more concise and balanced work schedules.
While Deepika Padukone has yet to comment publicly on the matter, Neha Dhupia took to Instagram to share her perspective. On Monday, she posted a supportive note on her Stories, tagging Deepika in the post. Within her message, the actress wrote, “For work-life balance to go beyond conversations, new moms need practical support and consideration. Instead, we often get shamed or sidelined. As a working mom, I support @deepikapadukone’s reasonable request for fair and considerate working hours.”
