Shankar Opens Up On His Recent Release Game Changer & Why He Is Not Happy With It

The famous director S Shankar made his Telugu debut with Game Changer which has been performing well at the box office despite receiving largely negative reviews and it has certainly affected its overall growth.

In a recent interview, Shankar expressed his dissatisfaction with the final version of the film, which stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. He admitted, “I am not completely satisfied with the output of Game Changer. I should have done better. Many good scenes have been trimmed due to time constraints. The total duration exceeded five hours, so we had to cut down a few things to acquire a sculpture.”

Shankar has developed a reputation for making long films. His previous directorial venture, Indian 2, was split into two parts because he couldn’t fit the entire narrative into a three-hour runtime.

Indian 2 was released in cinemas last year, while Indian 3 is scheduled to hit theaters later this year. The original Indian, released in 1996, is a cult vigilante film starring Kamal Haasan. The sequel features Kamal alongside Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Gulshan Grover, among others.
